Victoria Amelia Weyel, age 78, of Cheshire, entered into eternal life on Tuesday May 11, 2021 at YNHH (St. Raphael's Campus). She was born on November 23, 1942 in New Haven, CT., the daughter of the late James and Pauline Tsoukalas. The beloved wife of Harold Russell Weyel of Cheshire. Loving mother of Edwin J. Sutphin of South Carolina, Paul S. Sutphin of New Haven, Pauline Sutphin of Hartford, and Robert L. (Angela Giannelli) Sutphin of Cheshire. Cherished Grandmother of Amanda Sutphin, Robert Sutphin, Cecelia Sutphin, Jocelyn Sutphin, Christian Sutphin, Christina Jagrossi, Corina Jagrossi, Briana Cratella, Russell Cretella, Daniel Sutphin, Samantha Sutphin, and Dustin Sutphin. Also survived by two great grandchildren Dante Edwards and Isaac Corso. She was predeceased by one daughter Dawn Sutphin.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday Morning May 19, 2021 at Hamden Memorial Funeral Home, 1300 Dixwell Avenue, from 8-9am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow and be Celebrated at Saint Thomas Becket Church, 435 N Brooksvale Rd., Cheshire. Burial will follow at the State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown.
