Vanesie, unexpectedly Transitioned March 28, 2021.
Born on December 22, 1963 to the parents of Barbara (late) & Rovester Glass.
Born and raised in Baltimore, MD. Piggy, moved to CT, in her early teens. It was during this time Piggy flourished into a wonderful, FIERCE smart, Bold woman. School, was her absolute favorite she naturally excelled at everything she Touched, From Math, Science ( her absolute Favorite subject) to Sports! Softball was her niche..
After attending VA State university Vanesie set her sights on building her foundation. And returned to CT It was here, she met Her Late Husband Erwin G. SHEPPARD ( m. For 23yrs) ... And Started her career as with The New Haven Public school systems, where she devoted herself for 25yrs at Hillhouse High School as the Chief Clerk.
During her Time of service, Vanesie touched the life of many youths. Piggy adored Children from any and all walks of life, She helped assist with the shaping of the special Olympic Softball games, with Mr. Tim Shriver.
Often being dubbed "Auntie" Piggy, adored working with Kids, She would often offer Tough love, guidance, and understanding that they needed, lending them shelter whether it be in the main office or her home....Piggy always put others before herself.
Vanesie, was the Founder of the Hillhouse 'Footstompers' Drill team.
Becoming one of the communities 1st Drill teams.
Vanesie was nurturing to All that knew her, and the life of the party as well as the Glue of her Family.
Vanesie leaves behind her Loving Children -- lamont.(nephew) Shanquetta . (niece) Zakita, Zakimba (late) , Allen, Briana, and Travis SHEPPARD
Step Children-- Allen,Gwen, Erwin Jr (Late), Carla, and Lorraine.
GRANDKIDS- Devon, Makayle, Tristan and Javuanna. (her gang of Step grand babies)
Her Golden Girls -- Ramaya, Raimah, and Kahmyl
Siblings (late) Karl, Harold, Lisa, John, Ann, Danyell, and Angel.
and A host of Loving Aunties, Cousins, Nieces, Nephew's, and Great nieces and Nephew's.
