Obituary

Tommy Benson, 58, of Hamden, CT departed this on Thursday, January 21, 2021.  He was born on November 1, 1962 to the late James Benson and Gussie Benson.  He was educated in the New Haven School system and was employed by Fosdick Fulfillment Corporation in Wallingford, Connecticut.
He married the love of his life Brenda Davis-Benson, receiving the family he had always wanted … making his life complete.
Tommy was well known as TB of West Hills.  A tough guy, but gentle as a teddy bear, always happy and smiling. You could be mad, but here comes Tommy to do or say something that would make you laugh.  He loved his family and would go to war for anyone of them. He was loved by so many people, always willing to help anyone in need.
Tommy enjoyed watching soap operas, cruising and being the first one on the dance floor.  He loved family gatherings especially Christmas.  His favorite song was the Twelves Days of Christmas.  His favorite part was the Five Golden Rings.  No one will ever sing it the way Tommy did.
In addition, he leaves the following family members to cherish his memory: step-daughter Sheena Infante-Davis and step-son Tyron Davis-Woods both of Hamden. Four (4) sisters, Delores Benson of Meriden; Vickie Benson of New Haven; Tasha Benson of New Haven and Judy Williams of West Haven; four (4) brothers Anthony Benson of California, David Benson of Waterbury, Gregory Benson of Hartford and Jarrey Benson of New Haven.  He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and friends too numerous to mention.
He was predeceased by one brother James Benson, Jr.
Rest in Peace to our Beloved Tommy Benson.
