Our beloved Surletia "Sheila" Lewis of New Haven, CT, departed this life on Jan. 27th, 2025 at the age of 78 while in the loving care of her daughters.  Born in the St. Luke Community of Georgetown, South Carolina on January 18th, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Wesley Lewis and Mary Cobb Lewis.

Surletia was a devoted Jehovah Witness, with a strong commitment to Bible study.  She was an avid reader, enjoyed crocheting beautiful afghans and spending time with her grandsons.  She was full of grace and her genuine kindness and compassion towards others will truly be missed.
