Salvatore P. Talamo Sr., age 76, of Hamden, entered into eternal life on Sunday January 24, 2021 at YNHH. He was born on October 9, 1944 in Binghamton, New York, son of the late Henry and Concetta (Nappi) Talamo Sr. The beloved husband of Maria K. (Alberici) Talamo of Hamden. Loving father of Salvatore (Callie) Talamo Jr. of Milford and Stephen (Jillian) Talamo of Oakville. Cherished grandfather of Marco Sebastian Talamo of Milford and Scarlett Pia Talamo of Oakville. Also survived by one niece Melissa Weston of Middletown and one nephew Raymond Weston of East Haven. Salvatore worked hard for everything he had with a do it yourself mindset. He was a Sergeant in the Marine Corps and wore the Eagle Globe an Anchor proudly. During his retirement he became an avid model train enthusiast.
Due to the upcoming weather conditions a visitation will be held on Thursday February 4, 2021 at Hamden Memorial Funeral Home, 1300 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden from 9:30am-11:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at Christ The Bread of Life Parish (Blessed Sacrament Church), 321 Circular Avenue, Hamden at 12pm (Noon).
