Robert W. Slimak, 85, of Branford, CT, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2024. A New Years baby, born January 1, 1939 in Stamford, CT., Loving son of the late Albert and Helen (Bellus) Slimak. Beloved brother of Deborah (Robert) Shilinski of Branford. Uncle of Michael (Carolyn) Shilinski and Jana (Brendan) Gallagher. Also survived by 3 great nephews. Robert was an avid New York Yankee fan. He liked watching old classic movies and going to Lighthouse Park. Roberts favorite time of the year was the holidays, just being around family enjoying homemade food, with a special love of desserts.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Hamden Memorial Funeral Home, 1300 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden, CT, 10am-10:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church, 321 Circular Avenue, Hamden at 11am. Burial will follow at Beaverdale Memorial Park.
