In New Haven, CT on Saturday January 16, 2021, Renata Rene Greene, fiancée and loving mother of 3 children by her side, she went home to be with the Lord after a brief illness.

Renata Rene Greene, 56, was born on August 17, 1964 in New Haven, CT to the late Joseph and Brenda (McCormick) Greene.

Renata affectionately known as Nettie was educated in the New Haven School System and graduated from High School in the Community in 1983.  She held various jobs in the New Haven area.  She regularly attended Calvary Life Church in Cheshire, CT. Nettie loved to dance and knew how to get down when it came time to eat. She loved watching her favorite TV shows such as; Charmed, SiFy, and supernatural.  She was an excellent pool player.  But most of all she was a kind and sweet person who definitely spoke her mind.

Nettie leaves to cherish her memories, her Fiancée' Marshall (Joey) Toth of New Haven.  One daughter Rodnisha, two sons Tavon and Joey Greene and her Sister Novella Greene, other siblings Travis Debois of West Haven, CT, Shamona Greene of New Haven, CT, Terry Gallman , Jolantrae and Tobias Greene of New Haven, CT. Granddaughter Dionnie McLaurin who she lovingly called "mush mush" and a grandchild on the way which she was very happy and excited to welcome.  Two aunts Lucille McCormick Browne of New Haven, CT and Barbara Jean Greene of Hemingway, SC. Roderick Strother ( Topcat) her children's father and Tootie Strother, whom Nettie fondly called "Mom".  Step children whom she called her own; Tyshonda ,Roderick, Roberta and Robert West and Ne'fredteria Strother;  Samuel Bowens and Goddaughter Tiffany Stovall all of New Haven, CT. Her ride or die partner Kimberly Moore of New Haven, CT.  A special acknowledgement to Antonio Barroso and Marie Carmona the family of her Fiancee for their love and support.

Renata is predeceased by her Parents Joe Lewis and Brenda Joyce (McCormick) Greene, Maternal Grandparents John and Gladys (Cooper) McCormick Sr. and Paternal Grandparents George Dozier and Maybelle Greene.  Uncles, Henry, Thomas and Isaac Zanders; John McCormick Jr. and Henry Greene.

Two aunts, Katherine (McCormick) Frutrell and Priscilla Davis.  Lastly, a great aunt Ella Cooper and Great uncle Benjamin Greene.

A Celebration of Renata's life will be held on Wednesday January 27, 2021 at Hamden Memorial Funeral Home, 1300 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden at 11:00am. Viewing in the funeral home from 10-11:00am.
