Randy Gibson, 58 entered eternal rest on February 8, 2025. Born November 28, 1966, in New Haven, CT to the late Addie Gardner Gibson. He graduated from James Hillhouse High School. He was a phenomenal band member who specialized in brass instruments, specifically the trumpet. He enjoyed old school rap, his favorite group being UTFO. He was also an athlete who played Little League baseball. Upon graduating he attended Job Corps for two years, worked various jobs at restaurants, did landscaping work and gladly helped anyone who called on him. Randy is survived by four sisters: Jacqueline Jackson (Orlando) of Hamden CT, Josephine Gibson of Hamden CT, Linda Gibson of New Haven CT, and Janet Gibson of Meriden CT. One brother Bernia Gibson of New Haven CT, one uncle, three aunts, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends all near and far. He was predeceased by his mother Addie Gardner Gibson and brother Hazel Gibson Jr. Randy will be truly missed by childhood friends, people in the community and most of all, his family.
A celebration of Randy's life will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 11am at Hamden Memorial Funeral Home, 1300 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden, CT. Viewing in Hamden Memorial from 10-11am. Condolences may be expressed at Hamdenmemorialfuneralhome.com.
