Phyllis Jean Arpala, age 70, of Hamden, passed away peacefully on September 26. 2024 at home with her longtime partner Bernard Raccuia by her side. She was born in Hamden on July 13,1954 to the late Gabriel Arpaia and the late Jean (Nikolski) Arpaia. Phyllis was a retail Manager, for a number of stores, starting at Caldor and ending with her retirement at TJ Maxx. Phyllis loved everything Disney, and went to Disney World many times. The last few years, she found joy spending time watching the birds and feeding The squirrels. Phyllis was very generous with family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
