Obituary

Otto was born & raised in New Haven Connecticut. He passed away peacefully at Pardee Hospital in Hendersonville, North Carolina.

He was predeceased in death by his mother and father Helen and Walter Swierad. A daughter Lydia Dorrel Goodwin and a great great Granddaughter Lew Grace Richardson.

Otto leaves behind his wife of 20 years Pat Kramer Swierad, previously married to Jane Hulbert Swierad. Two daughters Jane M. Bagby (Fiancé Joe Martone) Claudia L. Valentine (Husband Alonzo Valentine), Two stepsons Erick N. Kramer and Edward W. Kramer and their families.

He also leaves behind one brother Walter William Swierad, nine grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews who adored him.

Otto was a member of the New Apostolic Church. Otto earned a Masters Degree in Manufacturing and was a member in the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. He was a life member in the International Wire Association,

Otto had been employed at Branford Wire and Manufacturing Company and B&S Mire and Rod as President until retirement.

Upon retirement he started Advisor Plus as President/ Owner until his death.

Otto had many passions in life painting beautiful paintings, interested in old classic cars, golfing and hunting. He lived a good life and will be missed by all.

Graveside services are handled by Hamden Memorial Funeral Home. Services are graveside service at Evergreen Cemetery 769 Ella T. Grasso Blvd at 11am on December 31, 2021. Condolences may be expressed at Hamdemeorialfuneralhome.com.
