Obituary

Muriel Eva (St. John) Carrignan currently of Hamden, CT and formerly of Bluffton, SC and West Haven, CT, died January 18, 2025, after a long illness. She is preceded in passing by her husband, Clifford X Carrignan, Jr., her daughter, Kathleen Mary Carrignan, and her parents Edward and Alice St. John.  She is survived by her children Clifford X Carrignan III (Michele) of St Charles, IL, Robert S Carrignan (Rhonda) of Wichita, KS and Kelly Carrignan-Arpino (Kevin) of Hamden. She is also survived by her sisters Mary Lydell of Bluffton, SC, Priscilla Raffele of Wallingford, CT and Sheila St. John also of Bluffton, SC. Muriel had 7 grandchildren, almost 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She graduated in 1952 from St Mary's High School, in New Haven and married the love of her life Clifford in 1954. She was full time Mom, homemaker and a wonderful hostess. She worked hard at and became an excellent golfer with all her friends at Orange Hills Country Club in Orange, CT and Okatie Creek Golf Club in Bluffton, SC.

There will be a Celebration of Life held for Muriel on Saturday March 1, 2025 at 1pm and visitation from 12-1pm at Hamden Memorial Funeral Home, 1300 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden, Ct 06514. As well as in Bluffton, SC at a date TBD. In lieu of flowers please to make a donation to Connecticut Hospice-https://www.hospice.com/. Condolences may be expressed at Hamdenmemorialfuneralhome.com.
