Michael Fiore of Branford, formerly of Hamden passed away November 24, 2023; he was 94 years old.  Michael was born to Egidio and Rose Cretella Fiore.  He was predeceased by his wife, Marion, as well as his brothers Fred, Salvatore and Edgar and sisters-in-law Tina and Rose Fiore.

He leaves behind his daughter Patricia (Matthias) Strilbyckij of Guilford, his sons Michael (Cynthia) Fiore of Wallingford, David (Sunshine) Fiore of Cheshire and Robert Fiore of Branford.  He also leaves behind grandchildren Stephen (Stephanie) Fiore, Adam Strilbyckij, Owen and Maria Fiore as well as great-grandchildren Benjamin and Cecilia Fiore.  His grandchildren brought him much joy over the years.  He is also survived by his sister-in-law Louise Fiore and many loving nieces and nephews.  Mike was an avid runner and fan of the NY Yankees and the UConn Women's Basketball team.

Michael was a graduate of Quinnipiac University with a BA in Accounting and worked for 38 years at the Southern New England Telephone Company in New Haven.  He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged having served during the Korean War.

Funeral arrangements provided by Hamden Memorial Funeral Home, 1300 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden, CT with calling hours at 9:30am – 10:30am on Tuesday, November 28, 2023.  A Mass of Christian Burial at the Blessed Sacrament Church in Hamden at 11:00am, followed by burial at St. Mary's Cemetery, 3110 Whitney Avenue, Hamden, CT.  Memorial contributions may be made in his honor to Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06405.
