Michael F
Arminio (Myke)
Sep 15, 1973 — Jul 1, 2024
Hamden
Michael (Myke) F. Arminio, 50, of Hamden, Connecticut, passed away peacefully at his home on July 1st, 2024. Born on September 15th, 1973, in New Haven, Connecticut, Myke was the beloved son of Bonnie Arminio and Michael (Moe) Cushen, and spent his childhood between Tucson, Arizona with his mother and Meriden, Connecticut with his father and other mother, Margaret (Marge) Cushen. Myke was preceded in death by all his parents, as well as his nephew, Noah Gratta.
Myke graduated from Francis T. Maloney High School in Meriden in 1992, going on to work as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), an artist assistant, in construction, and most recently at J.F.D. Tube and Coil. Myke had a lust for life, which he expressed through his unparalleled sense of humor (especially!), his love for music and sculpting, and the time he spent with family and friends. Myke built numerous friendships everywhere he went, leaving behind a legacy of laughter and admiration. He was especially well known throughout the New Haven punk rock music scene, where he played bass, enjoyed listening to live music, and worked at several venues. Myke lived a life that made everyone's lives around him a little more enjoyable, and he will be deeply missed for that gift he gave to all of us.
Myke will be missed by his longtime partner, Ariane Trexler; his siblings Renee (Ernie) Cushen Therrien of Florida, Camie (Ed) Rogers of Wallingford, Donna (John) Valencia and Augustine (Ebony) Salvati of Virginia, Ken (Christine) Cushen of Pennsylvania, Lori (Quique) Arminio Vasquez of Texas, Jason Arminio of Arizona, and Tasha Carrano of Florida; many nieces and nephews; and a multitude of friends and family.
Friends and family are invited to the Hamden Memorial Funeral Home 1300 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden, on July 20th, from 3:00–5:00pm to celebrate Myke's life. Contributions may be made in his memory to Halfway Home Rescue in North Haven: https://halfwayhomerescue.simdif.com/how_to_donate.html . Condolences may be expressed at Hamdenmemorialfuneralhome.com.
