Cheshire – Martin John McPike III, 72, of Southington, passed away Monday, January 21 ^st , 2019 at his apartment in Southington, CT.  Mr. McPike went by John to family and friends and was a longtime resident of Cheshire, having lived there from the mid 1950's until 2011, when he moved to Southington.

Mr. McPike was born on June 25 ^th , 1946 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late Martin J. McPike II and Neddy B. (Locco) McPike. He had a passion for photography, saving endangered animals, the environment, and most of all, his family.

Mr. McPike is survived by his sisters, Mary C. Minaudo of East Haven, Patricia A. Drechsler of Cheshire, and 5 nieces and nephews: Sherri, Paul, Joey, Amie and Lisa, and their children: Kylie, Jackson, Lindsay, Ella, Luke, Delanie, Sophia, Ryan and Reagan.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 29 ^th from 10am to 11:15am at Hamden Memorial Funeral Home at 1300 Dixwell Ave. in Hamden, and then to St. Bridget Church at 175 Main St, Cheshire, for A Mass of Christian Burial at 12pm.
