Louise Marie (Taft) Peryer, 78, of Hamden, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2025, at Yale New Haven Hospital (Saint Raphael's Campus). Born on April 29, 1946, in New Haven, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Bertha (Foss) Taft.

Louise was predeceased by her beloved husband of over 30 years, Lawrence Peryer Sr., and her son, John Paul Peryer. She was a devoted mother to Lawrence Peryer Jr., Joe Peryer, and Laura Peryer, a loving mother-in-law to Tanisha Peryer, and a cherished grandmother to Henry, Foss, Caiden, and Briella Peryer. She is also survived by numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

A dedicated Girl Scout troop leader for many years, Louise had a passion for crafting and painting. However, her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren and showering those around her with love. She will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, generosity, and the warmth she shared with everyone she met.
