Lawrence W. Rarick, age 48, of Hamden, suddenly passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023. He was born on December 1, 1974, in Norwalk, CT., son of Lawrence E. and Rosemary (McMahon) Rarick of Hamden. Loving husband of Michelle (Blackwell) Rarick of Hamden. Beloved father of Lawrence F. Rarick and Avery R. Rarick both of Hamden and his beloved dog Rocky, Cherished brother of Theresa Rarick of Hamden, William Rarick and his wife Paola Rarick and their daughter Isabella Rarick of Branford. Also survived by his mother-in-law; Ella Blackwell and late father-in-law; Steven Hymen of Bridgeport, bother-in-law; Michael Blackwell and his wife Jennifer Blackwell and their children:  Robert & JacobBlackwell, of Avon, Martin Blackwell and his wife CarinaBlackwell and their daughter, Alice Blackwell of Monroe; sister-in-law Meghan Kane and her husband Ryan Kane and their children:  Regan and Kevin Kane of Bridgeport.

Larry was a self-employed building contractor, Rarick's Lawn and Handyman Services, LLC, and ran a board up business, Affordable & Secure Board Up Services.  Larry graduated from Brien McMahon High School in Norwalk, CT where he was influenced by Mel in his shop class who helped shape his gift of looking at an impossible situation to figure out how to make it possible when everyone else said it could not be done.

Larry loved his friends and family, and spending time with them all.  Larry loved working side by side with his father until his retirement and now loves working with his son.  Larry loved riding his 1999 Harley Davidson Trike, going to the campground, watching his children and nieces and nephews in their activities.  Larry, like his daughter, loved animals and would be delighted to live on a farm with them all, though his wife, Michelle, was not to keen to that idea.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Hamden Memorial Funeral Home, 1300 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden from 4pm-5:30pm. Mass Service will follow, starting at 5:30pm.
