Obituary

Lawrence, "Larry" E. Rarick, age 80 of Hamden, CT passed away peacefully on Tuesday,
August 6th, 2024, with family by his side at CT Hospice in Branford after a long battle ofillnesses.

Larry was born on December 17, 1943, in Marion, OH, son of Frank Rarick, (Deceased) and
Freda Miley, (Deceased) and Stepfather, Albert Miley, (Deceased)

Loving husband of Rosemary (McMahon) Rarick of 62 years. Beloved father to daughter,
Theresa Rarick (Hamden), Late Son Lawrence W. Rarick, Daughter-in-law Michelle Rarick
(Hamden), Son William Rarick, Daughter-in-Law Paola Rarick (Branford) and faithful dog Coco.
Beloved Grandfather to Isabella Pacheco-Rarick (Branford), Lawrence F. Rarick, (Hamden) and
Avery Rarick (Hamden)

Larry was survived by his late Brothers: Frank Rarick, Jr. and Albert Rarick as well as his late
sister Sheila Miley. Larry had several nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews
that he loved in addition to many loved cousins.

Larry was employed at Broson Maintenance/Johnson Controls as an Engineer for 35 years until
his retirement in 2004. Larry had started the family business: Rarick's Handyman Service, LLC
in 1969 where his son, Larry joined him later in partnership until he fully retired in 2014.

Larry loved to spend time with his family and watching Bella on stage as a dancer, singer and
actress, Larry pitching from the mound on the baseball diamond or throwing the hoops on the
basketball court and Avery's humor during long conversations that left him in stitches with
laughter.

Larry loved spending time with family and friends at his cherished condo in Newport, RI for
many decades, not only sharing his hospitality, but with his knowledge of the town and his
favorite places as a patron.

Larry mentored many people in his life with his old school way of doing things that left a lasting
impression on all. Larry will truly be missed.

A Memorial Service will be held at Hamden Memorial Funeral Home, 1300 Dixwell Ave, Hamden,
CT 06514, on Thursday the 15th of August from 4:00 PM – 6:30 PM immediately followed by a Catholic funeral service. Condolences may be expressed at Hamdememorialfuneralhome.com.
