Kaira Aton Khan passed peacefully on September 27, 2019. He was born Nathaniel Edmond's Jr. on May 29, 1931 in Camden NJ. to his beloved parents Pearl  and Nathaniel Edmond's Sr. Kaira served in the US Army during the Korean War until 1954. He then returned to Camden  NJ and operated a window washing service until he moved to New Haven CT. in 1968. He worked for the city of New Haven Public Works among other jobs.  He lived in New Hampshire and Texas also.  He is loved and will be missed by all of his family including his children Abdul Barr, Jonathan Edmonds, Angela Edmonds, Catherine Edmonds, Valerie Rose Edmonds Haugh and Danielle Ventriglio.  He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sisters and brother, his sons Ceasar, Kevin and Brahma Ben and great grandson Zamir.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday October 4, 2019 at Hamden Memorial Funeral Home, 1300 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden at 11am. Viewing in Hamden Memorial from 10-11am. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in New Haven CT. Condolences may be expressed at hamdenmemorialfuneralhome.com
