June Vincent
Mckane
Jan 6, 1940 — Apr 20, 2026
Otis
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of June Vincent McKane, age 86, who departed this life on April 20, 2026. She passed peacefully at her home in Otis, Massachusetts, surrounded by the family who adored her.
Born on January 6, 1940, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Howard and Ruth Vincent Sr., June lived a life defined by grace, resilience, and an unwavering sense of humor. For many years, she was a fixture in West Haven, Connecticut, serving as a manager at the Credit Bureau of CT before embracing an early retirement in the 1990s.
To her family, she was simply "Mama." Her daughters, Karn and Kim, will forever cherish a mother who was their greatest cheerleader—a woman of endless patience who turned every day into an adventure. June's love for travel took her many places, often with her daughters by her side, creating a lifetime of memories fueled by laughter and her sharp, wavering wit. Whether she was donning a signature look with the Red Hat Society or spending quiet time at home, her spirit remained vibrant.
After moving to Massachusetts, June found a second beautiful chapter of life with Wayne "Joe" Perry. Over their 34 years together, Joe became her partner in every sense of the word. In her final years, his devoted and unwavering care was a profound testament to the love they shared.
June's legacy lives on through her partner, Joe; her daughters, Karn McKane and Kim (Mark) Graham; her cherished grandchildren, Blaze (Samantha) Graham and Destiny (Peter) Schilpp; and her three great-grandsons, Waylon, Ridge, and Brax Schilpp, who brought her immense pride and joy. She is also survived by her brother, Howard "Ben" Vincent II, and joins in rest her late husband, Douglas Edward McKane.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate June's life on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Hamden Memorial Funeral Home, 1300 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with a funeral service beginning at 12:00 PM. June will be laid to rest at Beaverdale Memorial Park.
In honor of June's family, we kindly ask that no lilies be included in floral arrangements due to a severe family allergy. Condolences and favorite memories may be shared at Hamdenmemorialfuneralhome.com.
