Julia R. White, " Mama" passed away January 6, 2025 after a brief illness at the age of 89. Born in Brooklyn N.Y., which she was happy to let Everyone know, "She was one of a kind!"
She was Preceded in death by her beloved spouse, Alan, and 5 siblings, sister Regina Hoyt resides in South Carolina. Julia was mother to Regina Kelsey, Karen Zimmerman (Eric), Maureen Berges (Bill), Alan White (Barbara), 10 grandchildren, plus many "honorary grands", she took care of along the way, at the cafeteria's of Sacred Heart and Quinnipiac University where she enjoyed her work as a cafeteria assistant. She also enjoyed 9 great grandchildren! Julia/Mama touched many people along the way. She enjoying cooking, teaching and a good laugh.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St Rita's Church, 1620 Whitney Avenue, Hamden at 10am on Saturday, January 11, 2025. Burial will follow at Beaverdale Memorial Park. Condolences may be expressed at www.hamdenmemorialfuneralhome.com.
