Joseph Mattei, age 29, of New Haven, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday January 26, 2021 at YNHH. He was born on November 27, 1991, At Yale New Haven Hospital, the son of Lillian Richardson of New Haven CT. Loving brother of Judy Richardson of Florida, Maria Mattei of New Haven CT, Angelina Mattei  of New Haven CT, Christina Mattei of New Haven CT, as well his older Brother Michael Mattei, of New Haven CT and his long time girlfriend Janelly Agron and his toddler son Vincent Noel Mattei of New Haven CT. Joseph Mattei achieved great honor in attending and graduating from Southern University of Hamden CT, with his bachelors degree in Science. He loved his family and friends dearly, Joey wasn't afraid to take risks to achieve greater things as he lived his life to the fullest, he will be forever missed.

Visitation will be held on Friday February 5, 2021 at Hamden Memorial Funeral Home, 1300 Dixwell Avenue at 12pm. Viewing in the Hamden Memorial from 10-12pm. Interment will be held at Evergreen. Condolences may be expressed at Hamdenmemorialfuneralhome.com.
