Janet Elaine Auditore's Obituary
HAMDEN - Janet Elaine (Heft) Auditore, 80, died peacefully on March 1, 2023, at Regency House in Wallingford. She was born in New Haven on July 15, 1942, a daughter of the late Frank and Alice (Knie) Heft. She was a 1959 graduate of Hamden High School.
Janet worked in the Purchasing Department at Yale University for over 35 years. She lost her beloved husband, John Auditore, in 1983 and never fully recovered from that blow. Janet was an enthusiastic supporter of QVC and a loving dog mom to Frenchie, Westie, and Luna.
She was predeceased by her sister, Corrine (Heft) Schoff. She is survived by two nephews, Eric (Jill) Schoff, of Southwest Harbor, Maine, and Kirk (Kristi) Schoff, of Terryville; and a grandnephew, Rowan Schoff, of Southwest Harbor, Maine.
All services were private. Burial was at Beaverdale Memorial Park, New Haven. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Meriden Humane Society. Hamden Memorial Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed at Hamdememorialfuneralhome.com.
