James P. Murphy passed away on December 26, 2024 with his family by his side. Jim was born in New Haven, CT. on October 1, 1946 to his parents, Charles and Dorothy Murphy.  Jim was a graduate of Wilbur Cross High School. Jim married Cathleen Drury and had a daughter, Kelly. Jim worked as a night shift supervisor for Waldbaums in Branford, CT. for many years before retiring.  Jim also had a love of wines and liquor and worked part-time for shoreline wines and liquor merchants in Guilford before his retirement many years ago.

James was predeceased by his parents Charles and Dorothy, his in-laws Joseph and Polly Drury, and his wife Cathleen.

Jim is survived by his daughter Kelly (Ralph) of Branford; and his grandchildren Samantha (Chris Bronander), Raffaele, and Kathleen. Brother-in-laws Tom (Cathy) Drury, Jim (Gina) Drury, and his nieces and nephews. Jim also leaves behind a partner of many years Vivian
