Our beloved father, James Harriet, went on to rest in eternal peace July 18, 2020 at home surrounded by his loved ones.  He was born on March 30 ^th , 1933 to the late William and Hilpha Harriett.

James was born in Kershon County, South Carolina where he attended Jackson High School.  He moved to New Haven, CT in 1962 and worked for New Haven Construction for 20 years.  James loved to fish and enjoyed taking nature walks.  He joined Mt. Bethel Missionary Baptist Church where he sang in the Davis Choir under the leadership of the late Rev. E. R. Davis.

James was predeceased by his parents, the late William and Hilpha Harriott as well as 7 brother and 5 sisters.  He leaves to cherish his memory, daughter Cynthia Flowers and son Perry flowers of New Haven, CT and two sisters, Jessie Spencer of New Haven, CT and Hilpha Jones of Camden, South Carolina.  He also leaves to continue his legacy 14 grandkids, 45 great grand kids, 4 great great grands, as well as a host of nieces and nephews and close relatives.  Also, special nephew William (Pumaine) Murphy.  James was a loving father, grandfather, and friend and he will truly be missed by all.
