Harry David Moon

Harry Was the son of the late James Bossie and Maryann Moon. He was born on September 9,1947in Halifax, Virginia. He departed this life on December 19,2020 at Milford Health & Rehab Center peacefully.

Preceding him in death were his siblings: two sisters, Ruby Moon and Betty Graves of Virginia, Three brothers LeRoy Boyd of Delaware, George Moon of Delaware, and James Moon of Virginia.

He received his early education at the Republican Grove School in Halifax, Va. Harry was a tobacco share cropper and farmer for 16 years in Halifax, Va. He moved to Newark,Delaware

and was employed as a landscaper for the city of Newark for 10 years. He was self employed as a handyman and Landscaper, after a job accident.

He moved to West Haven, Connecticut in the summer of 2008 with the Teabout family. He took care of the landscaping and was a companion to Mr. Teabout until he could not. Harry enjoyed FAMILY gatherings, fishing, horseshoes, baseball and card games.

He leaves to cherish his memories, son Michael Hailey of Texas, daughter Lisa Davis-Taylor of Virginia, daughter Elsie Moon-Harding of Smyrna, Delaware. Two grand daughters Natasha and Nevaeh Two grandsons Antonio and Josh. And a host of nieces, Nephew and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday January 29, 2021 at Hamden Memorial Funeral Home, 1300 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden from 10:30-11am., 11am service. Condolences may be expressed at hamdenmemorialfuneralhome.com
