Gertrude (Geri) Michelle Cech, kind and loving mother, passed away on Friday September 4 ^th , 2020 in her home in Hamden CT, at the age of 65.

Geri was born in Imst, Tyrol Austria on June 9 ^th , 1955 to Anton and Lucia (Rocker) Cech. At the age of one, she immigrated to the United States and was raised in Monroe, New York alongside her sisters Brigitte Cech Lena and Helen Lofrese. Geri graduated from Washingtonville Senior High School and moved onto Bauder Fashion College for Fashion Merchandising and Design, completing her course in 1975. She would also complete courses for Health Claims at Branford Hall Career Institute in 2009.

As a Medical Billing Specialist, Geri worked for the Business Resource Center before moving on to work for CPA Medical Billing. Although in addition to her primary employment, she also worked for World Champion Taekwondo as one of their main Office Managers. Geri was also a talented craftswoman, adept in most artistic and culinary skills. In past, she would normally be called upon to bake beautiful and delicious cakes for numerous occasions and functions.

Geri Cech was a hardworking and easily lovable person, who often put the needs of others above her own. For many years she would care for her son as a single mother, raising him as best she could while managing her second round of college courses. Her painstaking efforts, and never faltering love, still serve as fond examples to her son.

Geri is preceded in death by both her parents, Anton and Lucia Cech, and by her sister Brigitte Lena. She is survived by a large family, including her sister, Helen Lofrese, and her only son Chase Brown; She also leaves behind her loyal canine, Dakota Cech.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19 ^th , 2020, at Hamden Memorial 1300 Dixwell Ave, Hamden CT, 06514 at 5:00 PM. Condolences may be expressed at hamdenmemorialfuneralhome.com.
