Filomena (Fay) Rella age 93 of Fairfield, CT and Plainville, CT passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at the Apple Rehabilitation Center in Plainville, CT. Born on December 31, 1925 in the Bronx, New York, Fay raised her family in New Rochelle, NY until she moved to Connecticut. Fay worked as a Personal Banker/Bank Executive for several banks embarking on her career at Barclay's Bank in New Rochelle and then re-locating to banks in Stamford, CT, Darien, CT and Westport, CT until she retired. She loved watching her favorite team the New York Yankees, listening to her teen-age heartthrob Frank Sinatra and spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren and her many friends.  In her younger years she traveled twice to Italy exploring her Italian roots and over several years traveled to California to visit her brother, Jack, and his family and to Colorado to visit a teenage life-time friend, Photo.  She was a most loving mother, grandmother and friend who will be truly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving daughters, Rachel Fowler of Fairfield, CT, Jo Anne Rella of Plainville, CT; her grandchildren, Carrie Sakey (Matt) of Fairfield, CT; David Fowler (Sara) of Trumbull, CT and Jason Fowler (Elizabeth) of Derby CT; and her six great grandchildren, Gabriela Fay Sakey, Nicholas Sakey, Andrew Sakey, Brandon Fowler, Brooke Fowler, Evan Fowler and niece, nephews and cousins.  She is predeceased by both her Parent's, Frank and Josephine D'Agati; her son, Rocco Rella; Leo Rella, and her siblings, James D'Agati and Christina LoMonaco. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 10:30 A.M. at Holy Name of Jesus Church , Petersville Road, New Rochelle, NY.  A celebration of her life will take place at Juliano's Caterers, 700 Main Street, New Rochelle, NY immediately following the service.   Interment burial will be private at the convenience of the family .
