On the afternoon of April 13, 2022, Eleonor Moye entered into eternal glory, surrounded by her family.  Born Eleonor Reyes-Ortiz on February 14, 1950, in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico to her parents Eva Maria Ortiz and Manuel Reyes.  Affectionately referred to as Ellie, she immediately brought joy into the world with her laughter, her kindness, and her generosity.

Eleonor was educated in the Vega Baja public school system.  She relocated to Stamford Connecticut in her late teens where she began her working career and building her family and home.  While working at one of her early jobs, she met the love of her life, Jesse Moye whom she was married to for 36 years.  This union would blend the Santiago and Moye families of nine children:  Ivette Figueroa (Francisco), Janet Koprowski (Edward), John Santiago (Ursula), Leonor Santiago, Jessica Rosemond (Maurice), Monique Moye, Frances Moye-Harkness, Aaron Moye, Jesse Moye Jr., and she had the privilege to raise her granddaughter Ja'lyn Moye (Johnathan Dejesus).

A passionately dedicated wife and mother, she loved God and raised her children in the fear and admonition of the Lord.  The principles she instilled in all of those around her were the priorities she valued most, God, family and hard work.  She made a tremendous impact on everyone she encountered.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ruben Reyes.  She is survived by her husband, Jesse Moye Sr, her nine children, twenty-eight grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
