David D. Taylor, age 65, passed away on December 3, 2021, at his home, surrounded by his family and friends while singing Amazing Grace. He is survived by his son, Landis Taylor, step son, Jesse Dostie (wife Nova) and step daughter Ryan Dostie and (husband Mark Osenko) and his grandchildren Ian Taylor, Adeline Osenko and Skylar Dostie, all of whom he deeply adored. He leaves behind his sisters Lori Kay Kolbye, Vicki Joann Sympson, Peggi Ann Hudspith, step sister Deborah Renee Cotter, brother Daniel Paul Taylor and cherished nieces and nephews, Brady Paul Taylor, Casey Madison Bowsher, Brian Christopher Taylor, Stefanie Brooke Conrad, Catherine Leah Dareing, Keith Andrew Hudspith, Alexandra Victoria Sympson, Allyse Michelle Sympson, and Abigail Lauren Sympson. David had a long career as an highly proficient automotive technician, and then transitioned later in life to a school bus driver and trainer. David rode with the Christian Motorcycle Association and chapter President of Beacon Bikers of New Haven for 13 years. He was the founder of Liberated Riders, a Christian Motorcycle outreach to bikers. He was awarded the Man of the Year and awarded Christian Biker of the Year for positive influence in the state of CT. David also was one of the founding organizers of Middletown Mania a one-day motorcycle event which attracted thousands of bikers right here in CT. David also was involved in outreaches to the homeless and children's ministry. David had a deep passion for his family, friends, his dog, playing the trumpet and his faith in God. He spent his life giving out Texan hugs, big laughs, bright smiles, and also sharing the gospel, all of which he loved to do from the seat of a motorcycle. David never met a stranger; he loved and was loved by all.
