Carmen G. Rivera Avila, 83, of new Haven, passed away on February 11, 2023, at home with her loving family by her side. She was born on August 8, 1939 in Arecibo, P.R., daughter of the late Antonio Avila Sanchez and Adrianna Sein Avila. She was the beloved wife of Francisco Rivera. Loving mother of Angel M Rodriguez, Reinaldo Vargas, Gladys Santiago, Francisco Rivera, Moses Rivera. Also survived by her 5 Brothers; Ralph Avila, Miguel A Avila, William Avila, Juan (john) Avila, Hector Sein, and her 3 Sisters Blanca Iris Sein, Sonia Avila Cortez, Grace Maria Avila. She was predeceased by 2 grandkids Moses Rivera Jr. and Amanda F Rivera; and by 3 brothers Jose Avila, Rodolfo Avila, and Moises Sein. She was loved by many grandkids and nephews and niece and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at Hamden Memorial Funeral Home, 1300 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden, from 1-4pm.
