Carmel (Foti) Bierwirth, age 94 of West Haven, passed away peacefully in her sleep. Born on November 8, 1927 in Palermo, Sicily to the late James V. and Assunta (Barbado) Foti. She leaves to cherish her memory sons Alan and Glen Bierwirth. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a medical secretary for Yale, as well as other places.

A memorial Mass for Carmel will be held on Sunday September 25, 2022 at St. Andrews United Methodist Church 1230 Townsend Avenue, New Haven at 3pm. Condolences may be expressed at Hamdenmemorialfuneralhome.com.
