Bonnie Heidler, 102, passed away peacefully at Milford Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center September 5, 2021. Ringing in our ears are her last words to us, "I'm happy," and "I love you." She was ready to be with her Lord.

Bonnie was born on May 11, 1919, the daughter of the late George W. and Lena M. Bonner. She was predeceased by her loving brother, George H. Bonner. She is survived by her son Eric (Nancy) Eisler, six grandchildren: Eric (Carrie) Eisler, Jr., Justina (Jeff) Goodyear, Eric (Jaime) Ekstrand, Sharon (Paul) Engel, Amanda (Len) Prue, and Steven (Erydin) Bacon and 16 great grandchildren.

Bonnie lived a full, blessed life with two full-time careers. She was a Registered Nurse and a licensed Real Estate Agent. Her compassionate, caring heart lent itself well to both.

Her life was an inspiration to us all. In her 80's she hiked part of the Appalachian Trail in Virginia and most of the Cliff Walk in Newport, Rhode Island! She was a great cook and loved to entertain and share her home with family and friends.

She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. We look forward to seeing you in heaven, dear, dear soul.

A viewing will be held on Monday September 13, 2021 from 10-11am at Hamden Memorial Funeral Home, 1300 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden. Service will be at 11am. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven. Condolences may be expressed at Hamdenmemorialfuneralhome.com.
