Mr. Basil Russell, age 88, of Hamden, passed away on August 20, 2024 at his home. He was born on February 12, 1936, the son of Mary Morgan and Rufus Russell. Mr. Basil Russell  an angel, a saint, a wise and humble man left us. We will dearly miss him. He was survived by good friend Bobby Shah.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 in Hamden Memorial Funeral Home, 1300 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden, Connecticut from 9-10am. Funeral Services will start at 10am. Burial will follow at Grove Street Cemetery in New Haven. Condolences may be expressed at www.hamdenmemorialfuneralhome.
