Arthur Treloar is 98 years old born on July 15th 1927 and passed away at home on December 8th 2025 from vascular dementia. Arthur was born to Thomas and Florence Treloar in Brooklyn NY. Arthur was married to Patrica Treloar till her passing in March of 2009. They had 1 child Thomas Treloar that is married to Tawanna Treloar. Arthur Is a Navy Veteran of WW2.
Arthur is a very religious man. A hard working man that did anything for his family. Arthur love betting on horse racing. He became a very good statistical handicap of thoroughbred horse racing. Arthur loved playing golf and was a fan of the New York Yankees .Dad loved playing music and was a good Stan up bass player.
Arthur is a kind loving passionate soul that would do anything for the less fortunate. He made many donations to charity to help whatever he could.
Arthur always had a way with making friends with anyone. Dad would always have a joke or a kind word or kind saying to everyone. Dad tried to always look at the bright side of life. You always knew he was in the room with his un Waverly laughing that made you want to smile and laugh with him.
Dad had the opportunity when he was younger working in the hotel aster in New York. He meet Rita Hayward Laurel and Hardy and Max Baer.
When Dad started his music journey, he had the opportunity with his trio band to be on the Arthur Godfrey's Talent Scouts show. Dad took his trio on the road and traveled the United States and was only 1 day behind Frank Sinatra in his travels.
Dad was great friends with Whitey Ford of the New York Yankees. Whitey Ford would have dinner over dad's home in New York lots of times.
Dad worked at many places he worked at a gun arms factory. He was a manager at a restaurant he worked for a rental car company. He worked for a great bakery, and then also worked last at Stop & Shop in Hamden. Dad will be truly missed but is in a better place.
Dad is only asking for one thing to pay forward a kind gesture to someone that may need it.
There will be a church service on Saturday December 20, 2025 at 10am at Our Lady of Mt Carmel 2819 Whitney Avenue, Hamden, CT 06518. On June, 13, 2026 at 11am a Military Burial will be at The State Veterans Cemetery 317 Bow Lane, Middletown, CT 06457. Condolences may be expressed at Hamdenmemorialfuneralhome.com.
