The family mourns the passing of their loved one, Armando (Eddie) Valeriano. He died Tuesday, May 16 at his home in Hamden at the age of 92. Eddie was born November 12, 1930, in Bridgeport, CT where his late parents Felipe Valeriano and Aninha da Rosa settled after immigrating from the islands of Cabo Verde. Eventually, the family relocated to New Haven where he attended public schools, graduating from Boardman Manual Training School with a skill in the electrical occupation. He went on to become a local business and property owner in New Haven. He was well-known in the community as a master electrician and contractor, training many people in the field.

He leaves to mourn four sons, Armando (Michelle), Anthony, Joseph, and Edmund, and six daughters, Armonda, Adriane, Suzzanne (Charles) Gragg, Aninha, Karen (Adrianne), and Pamela Valeriano. He will be greatly missed by his sole surviving sibling, Walter (Joan) Valeriano. He lived to see several generations of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. He will be remembered by his life-long friend Edmund Ramos and long-time friend Georgianna Zimmerman. He was predeceased by his wife Louise Williams and five siblings.

A visitation will be held on Saturday May 20, 2023 at Hamden Memorial Funeral Home, 1300 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden CT from 1-2pm. Funeral services starting at 2pm. Condolences may be expressed at Hamdemeorialfuneralhome.com.
