Ann Theresa Carney, 84, of Hamden died on March 3, 2021 peacefully in her home.
She was predeceased by her Husband, Robert F. Carney Sr. and her parents Elizabeth and Jack Greco.
She leaves behind her sister, Rose Criscoulo and brother Mauro (Cathy) Greco.
Her children Richard (Carol) Carney, Robert (Deborah) Carney, Jr., Kathleen (Mike) Coleman, Paul (Rosemary) Carney, Diane (George) Monroe, Dave (Wendy) Carney, and Theresa Ann (William) Monroe.
Her grandchildren Eric Carney (Liz) , Tricia (Jon) Rowold, Kevin (Brandi) Carney, Michael Coleman, Mark (Robyn) Coleman, Chris (Courtney) Monroe, Tara (Jeff) Carroll, Alexis (Drew) Macho, Chris Dragone, Jordan (Kate) Monroe, and Matthew Monroe.
Her great grandchildren Benjamin, Caroline, William, Michael, Sybilla, Sophia, Lane, Lincoln, Leia, and Wyatt.
Ann loved life, traveling, telling stories of all the places she's been around the world, playing games, reading and especially watching movies on the Hallmark Channel.
She was a devout Catholic and faith was an important part of her life.
She made friends where ever she went, was kind, generous, sweet, funny, sarcastic, smart and above all loving.
Her favorite thing to do was spending time with the family she loved.
She is loved and will be missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 11, 2021, at Christ The Bread of Life Parish (Blessed Sacrament Church), 321 Circular Avenue, Hamden at 10am. Burial will follow at Beaverdale Memorial Park. A Wake will be held on Wednesday Night at Hamden Memorial Funeral Home, 1300 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden from 4-7pm. Condolences may be expressed at Hamdenmemorialfuneralhome.com.
