Alease Beatrice Harris born December 20, 1941 to the late Johnny and Beatrice Futrell.  She was born in Ahoskie, North Carolina.

Alease was 1 of 11 children. She has been a resident of New Haven for the past 60 years. She met and married her husband the late Thomas Harris and took her stand for the truth in 1959.

She is survived by her 5 children, LaVerne Wellington , Thomas(Toni), Ronald(Shelly), Lisa, and Joy Harris. 2 Brothers,  Allen (Ella), William (wife) and 5 Sisters Theora MacLaine, Elizabeth Robertson, Blannie Evans, Evelyn Pool, Dorothy Futrell. Her grandchildren Jerome, Jewell Alease, Ron, Jeremy, DeShawn, Destiny, Rolina, Nikia, Ronald, Antonio, and Antwan.

She is predeceased by 1 sister- Lola Mabrey  2 Brothers Johnny, and Jack Futrell, and a grandson Mitchell Wellington.
